Why We Do Not Recommend Refueling with Pertalite Gasoline
Pertalite is the most popular and cheapest fuel in Indonesia with a low octane number (90), intended for low-income segments of the population. It is not suitable for modern engines.
Why is Pertalite a bad choice?
• May cause engine pollution
• Increased fuel consumption
• Reduces engine power and lifespan
✅ Honda and Yamaha manufacturers recommend an octane number of 91+ (i.e., Pertamax and above).
For example:
🔹 Honda PCX (160cc) – no less than 93 (Pertamax Plus or Pertamax Turbo)
🔹 Yamaha (160cc+) – 91+, meaning at least Pertamax
🔥 Pertamax is more expensive, but more economical!
✔️ Clean fuel combustion, engine runs more steadily
✔️ More economical – lower consumption per km
✔️ Extends the bike's lifespan
🏍 Balimotion recommends refueling bikes with only Pertamax fuel or higher. This ensures our customers have reliable, trouble-free transport.
The rented bike will be delivered to you with a tank that is half full or more with the appropriate fuel. This saves you from having to immediately search for the nearest gas station with a flashing fuel indicator. Instead, you can head straight out on your adventure!😉
